Our mission is to empower students and their parents with an innovative and effective educational program to achieve high standards and help students reach their full academic and social potential. But as with any school situation, student success requires a partnership between the school, the teachers, the parents, and the effort of the student.
Parents have the opportunity for more direct involvement with the teachers and administration of Sterling Academy than is possible at many institutions. We are eager to assist with any needs the parents or students have.
No matter what school your son or daughter attends, their success is greatly influenced by your parental involvement. This is especially true in an online learning situation, where the student needs to acquire skills of self-discipline to study when there is no external timetable forcing them to be somewhere at a specific time. You as the parent know your son's or daughter's abilities, and how much guidance he or she needs in keeping up with the courses. Since you are working with your student directly rather than indirectly as would be the case in a bricks-and-mortar school, your influence is the primary influence, giving you more opportunity to shape the study habits, process of maturing, and intellectual direction of your son or daughter.
Together, with our academic oversight from teachers and administration and your involvement as a parent, we can work for the highest achievement that your son or daughter can attain.
